Megan Mueller, M.A.
Master's-Level Counselor | License-Eligible for LPC-Associate in Texas
Returning to clinical practice with experience in trauma, eating disorders, crisis intervention, and group facilitation. Seeking LPC-Associate supervision and clinical roles in the DFW area.
About Megan
I am a Master's-Level Counselor with a passion for supporting individuals through life's most challenging transitions. My path into counseling was shaped by a deep belief in the healing power of human connection and the resilience that emerges when people feel truly seen, heard, and understood.
I earned my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Texas State University (Summa Cum Laude, GPA 3.8), where I specialized in trauma-informed care, grief and loss, crisis intervention, and group facilitation. My clinical training included intensive work across diverse settings—from supporting survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault to providing individual and group therapy for individuals navigating eating disorders, substance use, and complex trauma.
Throughout my practicum and internship experiences, I worked with adults, adolescents, couples, and families facing anxiety, depression, caregiver burnout, and significant life transitions. I've led psychoeducational workshops, facilitated therapeutic groups, conducted crisis assessments, and collaborated with multidisciplinary teams to deliver person-centered, culturally responsive care.
After completing my master's program, I gained valuable clinical experience as a Program Therapist at an eating disorder treatment center, where I delivered evidence-based therapy (CBT, DBT, ACT), chaired interdisciplinary treatment planning meetings, and supported clients with co-occurring mental health challenges. I am now returning to clinical practice and actively seeking LPC-Associate supervision in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. I'm drawn to roles in community mental health, group practices, or nonprofit settings where I can continue to grow as a trauma-informed, compassionate clinician while working toward full LPC licensure in Texas.
